International School Track Meet

Congratulations to our U11 girls and boys who did a great job in the International School Track Meet held at Green Oasis this past Saturday!

On March 6th, 12 students from 3rd, 4th and 5th grade represented BCIS at their first competitive sporting event with 4 other Shenzhen International Schools (Shekou International, Green Oasis, Shen Wai International, and International School of Nanshan).?

More importantly than the awards they won, were the accolades from Ann, Head of the Primary School of Green Oasis, who complimented our fine athletes on “how sporting” they were.? She was referring to their character behavior, cheering, and competitive spirit.? Thanks to Coach Merrick and Mr. Rush for preparing our student athletes so well and for their dedication the entire day.

Results for the Students:

60m - Eva 1st place (GOLD)
200m - Eva 1st place (GOLD), Elim 2nd place (SILVER)
400m - Elim 3rd place (BRONZE)
Grils 200m relay - Elim, Wendy, Sera C, Eva - 2nd place (SILVER)

Coach Merrick will be implementing a Track & Field After School Activity on Mondays and Wednesdays for 4th quarter. Students in Grades 3-8 wishing to compete are welcome to sign up.
