Dr. Stephen Shing-Toung Yau is an internationally renowned mathematician, has taught at Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, University of Illinois, and currently a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Dr. Yau continually strives to contribute to the academic and character development of Chinese youth.

In his formative years, Dr. Yau studied at a Concordia School in Hong Kong. Dr. Yau supports the development of Concordia's Mission in International Education in mainland China. He is attuned to the importance of including Chinese language and culture courses in international school curricula. He agrees that this integral dimension of Concordia's education system builds a solid foundation for our students to grow within the classrooms and beyond.
