Spring Festival and Chinese New Year are upon us. Happy Year of the Ox/Bull！Over the next two weeks, we sincerely hope that you and your family are able to relax and enjoy a break from the rigors of schoolwork.

春节和中国新年就要到了。牛年快乐！在这两周假期内，我们真诚地希望您和您的家人能够从严格的学校作业中得到放松和享受。

The New Year holiday is a time to reconnect with family and friends, to create warm and lasting memories, and to look towards the future built on relationships, prosperity, and growth.

新年假期是一个与家人和朋友重新联系的时间，创造温暖和持久的记忆，展望建立在人际关系、繁荣和成长的未来。

The BCIS faculty and staff are happy to announce the Winter MAP scores that shows our students have averaged one full academic year of growth in Reading and Mathematics over the last semester – this is incredible news for our students and demonstrates the full commitment that teachers have shown to the success of all students. Over the next months we hope to continue to build on this success and move students further towards concept mastery.

BCIS全体教职员工很高兴的宣布——2021年1月的MAP测试结果中，我们的学生在2020年下学期的阅读和数学成绩成长值就达到了过去一个学年平均增长值。——这是令人难以置信的消息，对我们的学生和展示了完整的承诺,教师显示所有学生的成功。在接下来的几个月里，我们希望继续在这一成功的基础上，推动学生进一步掌握概念。

This level of success also demonstrates the involvement of our parents in students’ academic growth. It is because of all of you working towards the common goal of increased student learning that students have been able to achieve the levels of success they now demonstrate. It is with thanks that we recognize all of our parents and faculty in the combined efforts put forth.

这种程度的成功也证明了我们的父母对学生学业成长的参与。正是因为你们所有人都在为增加学生学习的共同目标而努力，学生才能够达到他们现在所展示的成功水平。在感谢中，我们感谢所有的家长和老师们的共同努力。

We want to also give a special thank you to our Chinese teachers, Ms. Yang, Ms. Gong, Ms. Zhang, and Ms. Shen who worked diligently to prepare everyone for the Chinese Cultural Festival celebrated on February 5. Along with Ms. Li and Ms. Huang in the Art Department, as well as numerous other staff and students, the festival was an amazing event allowing everyone to enjoy the day and learn more about Chinese games and sports through participation and collaboration.

我们还要特别感谢我们的中文老师，杨老师、龚老师、张老师和沈老师，他们辛勤工作，为2月5日庆祝的中国文化节做准备。与艺术系的李老师和黄老师，以及众多的师生一起，这个节日是一个令人惊奇的活动，让每个人都能通过参与和合作来享受这一天，并更多地了解中国的游戏和体育。

We hope that the next two weeks will help everyone to rest up, to rejuvenate, and to come back to school ready to continue pushing forward. We look forward to having our students and staff back on February 22.

我们希望两周的假期能让大家好好休息，恢复活力，回到学校继续前进。我们期待我们的学生和工作人员在2月22日回来。
