International Testing
As international educators, we continually strive to offer the best academic preparation for our students to be able to further their studies anywhere in the world. Toward this achievement, we offer standardized internationally recognized testing to ensure that our students English language proficiency and academic readiness are aligned with schools worldwide. Currently, BCIS offers the following tests to our students:
SSAT
The SSAT is a standardized test used for high school admissions in America. Students are tested on their English and Math skills. BCIS offers a test prep class for the SSAT to all middle school students. Although students matriculating to one of our partner schools are not required to take this test, we strongly recommend students’ participation as it strengthens their overall academic profile.
TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is the standard English proficiency test that many students use to document their English language proficiency. Achievement on this exam is required for most levels of further academic pursuit in secondary and post-secondary education. The TOEFL test is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, recognized by more than 8,000 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries.
Stanford Test
The Stanford Test is a standardized test commonly given to American students. This test allows schools to compare their students’ progress relative to other schools worldwide. BCIS participates in this test every year to gauge our students’ performance compared to students in America.
