K-2 Intermural Championship
The BCIS K-2 Soccer Intramural League came to an exciting end on Wednesday, May 27th. After six weeks of regular season play during lunch recess on Wednesdays, Team Red and Team Blue had the two best records and competed for the Championship. Team Orange and Team Yellow were honored with a tie for 3rd place and given bronze medals after the game. Coach Merrick is happy to say that all the kids showed great sportsmanship and a competitive spirit every game this season. He is very proud of all your children.
In the Championship game, Team Red scored in the 4th minute of the 1st half to move ahead 1-0. Team Blue had some chances, but remained scoreless at halftime. In the 2nd half, Team Red scored again in the 3rd minute to secure the win 2-0. Team Blue won the most games during the regular season, but couldn’t find the answer on Wednesday for Team Red’s desire to bring home the Championship. Congratulations to all the teams on a successful first year of Soccer Intramurals at BCIS! We are looking forward to many more years of intramurals in many other sports.
